Moon Eyes Coffee was founded in 2022 in Fort Benton, Montana by Jake Berger and Maren Engen.

The name "moon eyes" is based on their beloved cat, Matt, and his big ol' eyes. For years they had joked about starting a coffee shop with the name but it was only a pipe dream.

Jake's love of coffee and experience with roasting encouraged this dream so when the opportunity to make Moon Eyes a reality, Jake and Maren jumped on the chance.

Located in the back corner of The Courtyard in Fort Benton, MT, Moon Eyes Coffee is open Tuesday-Sunday from 7 am-2 pm (or so). Purchase freshly roasted coffee, a latte, and a baked good, and enjoy the view of the Missouri River right across the street. All syrups and baked goods are made in-house by Jake.
